Pervasive Surveillance
Sep. 7 - Nov. 8, 2023
at the Architecture Studies Library, Las Vegas
February 6-17, 2023
at Donna Beam Fine Art Gallery, Las Vegas
‘'Pervasive Surveillance’presents a site-specific wall installation, video works, and large-format photography that critic the excessive surveillance we all increasingly endure in public spaces. Our private spaces are constantly being surveilled and controlled, and private data is collected. In times of questions about freedom of speech and manipulating media, this exhibition simulates radical, aggressive and pervasive surveillance and makes the viewer aware of the threat to our hard-gained freedom.

In Plain Sight
April 7-16, 2021
at UNLV Grant Hall Gallery, Las Vegas
‘In Plain Sight’ explores the multi-faceted layers of Sin City. It exposes the complexities and contradictions in plain sight, revealing both the legendary urban and the fake of Las Vegas, a city that is surrounded by myth and ever-present in the American psyche. In Las Vegas, the idea of signage and billboard has a particular meaning. Signage becomes a substitute for other things and is tied to the car culture of the city. Neon signs and billboards are part of Las Vegas’s history - the Neon City. It is an extreme case, where the sign itself can be larger and more important than the actual buildings behind it.
